Last updated: October 2, 2026

This policy explains what personal data Solía Avenue (soliaavenue.com) collects, why, who it is shared with and what rights you have. Solía Avenue is run from Finland, so it follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Finnish data protection law. It also covers rights you may have under US state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Evan Kristine, Solía Avenue, Pirkkala, Finland. Contact: use the contact form.

What data is collected

  • Emails you send me. Your name, email address and whatever you write, used only to reply.
  • Usage and device data. Pages visited, time on page, referring site, approximate location (country/city), browser and device type, and IP address. This comes from analytics, advertising and security tools.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. Small files stored on your device by this site and its partners (see below and the full cookie policy).
  • Comments. Comments are turned off, so no comment data is collected.

I don’t knowingly collect sensitive data, and I don’t sell your personal data for money.

Why it is used and the legal basis

  • Running and securing the site (hosting logs, spam and security protection): legitimate interest.
  • Analytics to understand which content is useful: consent where required, otherwise legitimate interest.
  • Advertising, including personalised ads: your consent, collected through the cookie banner.
  • Affiliate links so retailers can credit a referral: legitimate interest, and consent for any non-essential cookies.
  • Replying to your emails: legitimate interest.

Third parties and partners

  • SHE Media and its advertising partners serve the display ads on this site. They may use cookies, device identifiers and IP addresses to show and measure ads, including personalised ads if you consent. Their consent tool follows the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework. See SHE Media’s privacy policy.
  • Google (Google Analytics, Tag Manager and Site Kit) measures site traffic. See how Google uses data from partner sites.
  • Grow by Mediavine powers the content recommendations and save/share tools. See Mediavine’s privacy policy.
  • Amazon Associates and other affiliate programs (such as Stay22) set cookies when you click an affiliate link so the retailer knows the referral came from this site.
  • Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook buttons and embeds may set cookies if you interact with them.
  • Hosting, caching and security providers (including Wordfence and Akismet) process technical data to keep the site fast and safe.

Cookies and your choices

When you first visit, a consent banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies, including personalised advertising. You can change your choice at any time through the consent tool’s settings or by clearing cookies in your browser. Declining personalised ads means you may still see ads, but they will be less relevant. You can also opt out of interest-based ads through Your Online Choices (EU) or the DAA opt-out (US).

International transfers

Some partners are based outside the EU/EEA, mainly in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, Standard Contractual Clauses or other safeguards required by the GDPR.

How long data is kept

Emails are kept as long as needed to handle your message, then deleted within 24 months. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months. Partner retention periods are set out in their own policies.

Your rights (EU/EEA and UK)

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. Send your request through the contact form and I’ll reply within one month. You can also complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi) or your local authority.

Your rights (US residents)

Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete or correct it, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. Advertising partners may treat ad cookies as a sale or share under these laws. To opt out, use the consent tool’s settings or enable Global Privacy Control in your browser, or send a request through the contact form. You won’t be treated differently for using these rights.

Children

This site is meant for adults and isn’t directed at children under 16. I don’t knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has shared personal data, email me and it will be deleted.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
