Welcome to Solía Avenue

Hi, I’m EK, and I’m thrilled to share my lifestyle blog with you! As an interior design enthusiast, my journey started when my husband and I bought our cozy 73 sq.m apartment in 2022. Ever since, I’ve embraced the fun challenge of decorating our space beautifully while keeping it feeling open and inviting.

I created this blog as a fun way to educate myself and others on transforming small spaces into big, beautiful sanctuaries. All the tips I share are tried and tested in my own home, and it’s been amazing to inspire thousands along the way!

I also love diving into DIY wedding decorating ideas (I tied the knot in the summer of 2024, and we did everything ourselves!). Plus, you’ll find plenty of posts on table settings, centerpieces, and themed decorating ideas—these are my favorites because I enjoy hosting friends in our little apartment!

In addition to managing this blog, I’m also passionate about travel and food blogging! When I’m not working online, you can often catch me enjoying some tennis, padel, or yoga during my free time.

I also really enjoy hanging out at the library and exploring my city’s restaurant and café scene solo as a delightful way to practice self-love. Plus, I absolutely adore reading, painting, and drawing!

Why Solía Avenue?

Solía [soˈli.a] – verb, past-tense, meaning “to be accustomed to”

I chose Solía for three reasons:

1. It sounds cool
2. I came across this name from Vera Roth’s romantacy book series called “The Blood Grace Series” (phenomenal books!). One of the character’s names is Solia and she’s a badass!
3. I like how it sounds great with Avenue, aka its brandable!

Avenue [ˈavɪnjuː] – noun, a way of approaching a problem or making progress towards something

Since I know I’ll be mostly writing about how to decorate small spaces, I knew Avenue would be the perfect name to describe the whole mission I’m trying to accomplish here – a way to approach a problem!

Solía Avenue – to be accustomed to a way to approach a problem or make progress towards something.

Because small apartment decorating is something to be accustomed to and since we’re dealing with tiny spaces, we just need to get used to approaching this problem a certain way in order to progress to some goal we have in mind.

This is Solía Avenue.
